Manila is the capital and one of the oldest cities in the Philippines. Founded on June 24, 1571, by Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi. Then, the Instagram-worthy walls are located at the historic center and oldest district of Manila – the legendary Intramuros. The word came from Latin, which means “within the walls”. Despite its historic vibe, Intramuros is a perfect place to roam around. It is open to the public and most of all, foreign-friendly.
